Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Sol Studio!

By booking our photobooth services or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Bookings & Payments

  • A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your event date. Your booking is not confirmed until the retainer fee has been received. 

  • the remaining balance must be paid no later than X before the event date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Payment can be made by e-transfer, credit card, cash, or cheque.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Retainers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date if rescheduled at least X days in advance and subject to availability.

  • Cancellations made within X days of the event may forfeit all payments made. 

  • In the unlikely event that The Sol Studio must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, all payment (including retainer) will be refunded in full. 

3. Event Requirements

  • The client must provide a flat, dry, and safe space with access to a power outlet within 10 feet of the booth setup. 

  • For outdoor events, adequate weather protection (tent or cover) must be provided.

  • The client is responsible for ensuring venue permission for photobooth setup and access to the event area. 

4. Service Duration

  • Photobooth rental time begins at the agreed-upon start time, regardless of setup or guest arrival delays.

  • Idle time before or during the event may be arranged in advance for an additional fee. 

5. Photo Use & Sharing

  • By using The Sol Studio's photobooth, guests grant permission for photos and videos taken during the event to be used for marketing, social media, and promotional materials, unless otherwise requested in writing. 

  • Clients may opt out of promotional use by notifying us before or within 7 days after the event.

6. Equipment & Liability

  • The Sol Studio will take all reasonable steps to ensure reliable service and equipment performance.

  • In the rare case of equipment malfunction or technical failure that prevents operation for more than 25% of the booked time, the client will receive a partial refund or credit proportional to the downtime.

  • The client agrees to be resposible for any intentional damage or theft of equipment caused by guests or venue staff.

 7. Digital Galleries & Data

  • Digital event galleries are typically delivered within 5-10 business days after the event.

  • The Sol Studio is not liable for loss of digital copies after delivery – we recommend clients download and back up their photos.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • The Sol Studio will not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits or emotional distress, arising from our services.

  • In all cases, our liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the booking.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update the Terms & Conditions periodically. The most current version will always be posted on our website.​
